David's whole family is involved in the triathlon scene. David and his wife Sue help run the Ballarat Triathlon club. Son Jamie is a member of the VIS (Victoria Institute of Sport) and son Ben is a member of the TVDP (Triathlon Victoria Development Program). David turned to coaching 8 years ago starting with Jamie and soon had a small group of athletes to mentor which has grown over the years. As his athletes have grown older David has had to keep up with the latest in the science of coaching and has achieved a level 2 coaching accreditation.. David assists the head coach of the TVDP Gavin O’Sullivan and is also a satellite coach for the VIS. David’s athletes have all achieved success on local, State and National racing circuits. |
